Today’s Best NBA Bets: Odds, lines, & picks for Saturday
The Bucks (27-15 SU, 22-17-3 ATS, 21-21 O/U) will travel to Florida today when they take on the Heat (23-20 SU, 16-25-2 ATS, 19-23 O /U).
We have a nice little afternoon matinee before the NFL playoff games start. The Bucks and Heat played this same game a few days ago, and the Heat won 108-102. Milwaukee has won three of its past five matchups, while the Heat has also won three out of its last five. Miami has won two straight and will look to make it three. The difference was that both teams were short-handed, and now they should be at full strength. I’ll take the Bucks to get some revenge here against the Heat, with Giannis playing in this one. The Heat are just an average team to me, whereas Milwaukee at its best is one of the best in the East.
PICK: Buck’s ATS
The Grizzlies (28-13 SU, 21-18-2 ATS, 19-21 O/U) and Pacers (23-19 SU, 25-16-1 ATS, 20-21 O/U) meet for the first time this season and will only play each other twice.
The Grizzlies have been unstoppable lately. They have won every game they have played in 2023, which is their last six contests. Memphis hasn’t lost a basketball game since December 27th, 2022, vs. the Suns. Ja Morant has once again been the catalyst that has driven this team forward, leading them in scoring at 27.6 points per game. Meanwhile, the Pacers have been one of the surprise teams in the NBA this season and are coming into this one with a positive record of the year. I commend them for that, but they are far and away from being as good as Memphis. The only team I have higher right now when handicapping is Boston.
PICK: Memphis ATS
The Celtics (31-12 SU, 23-19-1 ATS, 20-20 O/U) look to continue their five-game winning streak tonight when they take on the Hornets (11-32 SU, 17-25-1 ATS , 22-21 O/U), who have lost four of their last five games.
Boston is my highest-rated team right now, which isn’t shocking at all. They are good defensively, allowing just 112.3 points per game, but they are one of the most dominant teams on offense in the Association. Boston also scores 118.4 points per game, which is second in the NBA behind the Kings. The Celtics should have no problems scoring a ton of points against the terrible Hornets’ defense. Speaking of Charlotte, I have just three teams ranked lower than them on my handicap. They are bad everywhere you look, and the one bright spot for them has been Terry Rozier, but he can’t do everything. He’ll play great in this one since it’s against his former team. The last time these two met, Boston destroyed Charlotte 140-105. I fully expect the same type of outcome.
PICK: Boston ATS
